For Perry Curry, inspiration sparked in his Coppell living room, surrounded by the fresh hum of a brand-new 3D printer and a mind buzzing with possibility. A disabled United States veteran, Perry's journey with engineering led him to imagine chess pieces no one else had ever brought into the world. His approach blends technical discipline with the energy of creative exploration. Out of this curiosity, the first sketches for Word-Totem® and Monolith® chess sets emerged, challenging conventions and reimagining the board game experience for collectors and players alike. By marrying digital fabrication with artisan touch, Perry shaped a collection where every piece tells a story.
